Overview

Launched in 2008, Tango builds digital products with meaningful, global impact for scaling startups and corporations, specifically targeting B2B and B2B2C software and marketplaces. It operates in a fast-growing segment that is estimated to experience a compound annual growth rate of 26.7% from 2023 to 2030, opening up practically unlimited business opportunities as more and more industries go online.

Tango provides 360° services encompassing product development with go-to-market and scaling strategies, and design and programming for mobile and web apps, often supporting poorly digitized sectors.

Beyond its core business, Tango is on a mission to break down barriers and promote diversity in the tech industry in Poland. Tango connects groups that often face discrimination when seeking employment – including women, people with disabilities, and individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community – with high-growth jobs in the tech sector.

Since mid-2020, the company has also begun to train and hire migrants and refugees. Tango created a legal, accounting, and training program to efficiently hire and place refugees from Ukraine with comprehensive relocation packages, legal and logistic support, accommodation upon arrival in Poland, mental health programs, and language classes. To date, Tango has employed 12 refugees internally (20% of its total workforce) and contracted 110 across its supply chain.

One of our core principles is creating a safe and supportive environment that lets people grow regardless of who they are and where they come from. Building a company where people can feel like they belong.

NESsT Investment

Through the Refugee Employment Initiative, over the next 5 years, Tango aims to provide employment or professional placement opportunities – including the necessary legal support, comprehensive training, and personal development – for at least 60 migrants and refugees internally. It will also train and place an additional 270 refugees within its ecosystem of 7 companies.

On average, newly hired workers at Tango require a 3–4 month training period before they can independently work for clients without supervision. NESsT’s investment will support this onboarding process, allowing Tango to invest in the growth and development of its employees, streamline internal hiring processes, and increase dignified job opportunities for refugees across its supply chain. At the same time, it will give Tango the cash flow needed to grow and access more commercial opportunities at a faster rate, and the momentum to spread DEI principles in the Polish digital sector.
