NESsT announces today that it has joined the Sustainable Connections Institute (Conexsus), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in AmazonBeEco, an unprecedented four-year initiative to support the sociobioeconomy in the Pan-Amazon region.

NESsT announces Renata Truzzi has been named Chief Impact & Operations Officer. Truzzi – who joined the organization in 2012 – has served in multiple capacities within NESsT, most recently as Global Acceleration & Impact Director. Her background in impact investing, business development, marketing, and fundraising will further support NESsT’s organizational effectiveness and operational excellence.

In 2024, we reached a milestone that speaks to this mission: since its founding, NESsT has positively impacted the lives of over 3.4 million people from communities around the world.
Sweden joins as a donor to NESsT’s long-standing South America acceleration program, enabling the program to increase the number of enterprises it supports and to expand its efforts in Colombia, Peru, and into Brazil.
A central theme dominated the conference: impact management. While the topic is certainly not new, the urgency is. In part this urgency is driven by the increasing visibility the sector is attracting. New impact funds from leading private equity firms and glitzy events in the world’s trendiest capitals provide fodder to the press and public opinion to look from the outside-in for reasons to find flaws in the sector.
Through trainings, events, and early-career programs, Możesz ITy equips youth and their allies with the tools, connections, and support they need to achieve diversity in the tech industry. Karolina Gadalska is the Manager of the Foundation and works closest with the students of the program. She supports them with accessing training from corporate partners, finding employment, and anything else that comes up as part of the students’ transition to a career such as relocations.
All employers want to find the most driven and hardworking people to join their companies. However, so many people with different abilities who could excel at their jobs continue to be excluded. Consolidar Diversidade is a social enterprise based in São Paulo that promotes the diversity, equity, and inclusion of people with different abilities into the labor market.
On March 7th, investment professionals, philanthropists, strategists and changemakers came together at the Royal Academy of Arts to discuss how to grow the social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Why social entrepreneurship? It offers sustainable solutions to unemployment, environmental degradation, and poverty.
