Social Enterprise Academy: Social Impact and Performance Management


The Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) in partnership with leading international venture philanthropy organization NESsT is honoured to offer a unique opportunity to Georgian social entrepreneurs to attend the training program on Social Impact and Performance Management. The training will be conducted by international experts.

Trainers

Roxana Damaschin-Tecu – NESsT - CEE Regional Director

Roxana has been managing NESsT activities in Central and Eastern Europe region for ten years.

She is directly involved in:

  • Managing portfolios of social enterprises;

  • Developing investing and supporting methodologies and mechanisms;

  • Developing performance management and social impact measurement tools.

Prior to joining NESsT, she worked for more than six years at Pentru Voi Foundation, Timisoara, where she managed a social enterprise – a bakery employing persons with intellectual disabilities.

 Agnieszka Borek – Valores Foundation – Executive Director

Agnieszka is Valores’ Executive Director, with Valores since Dec. 2016. She is directly engaged in each Valores portfolio organization with experience in impact assessment, leads individualized efforts to develop applicable and useful measurement tools.

Goal of the Training

The training aims to enhance knowledge and skills of social entrepreneurs in the field of Social impact measurement and management. Additionally, it aims to promote impact-oriented management and culture among social enterprises.

Topics of the Training

  • Definition of Social Impact;

  • Why to measure social impact and performance of a social enterprise?

  • Measurement Goals and Challenges Social Enterprises meet in the process;

  • Social Impact Measurement Cycle;

  • Methodologies and approaches to Social Impact measurement management.

  • Practical/real-life examples.

Participants Will Analyze

  • Why it is important to measure social impact?

  •   How it is possible to measure social impact?

  •   What are the best practices of social impact and performance management?

Eligibility of Participants

  • Participants should represent an active social enterprise that has already been selling its products or services.

  • The participants should represent the management of the social enterprise.

Selected social enterprises will have an advantage during the selection for the next trainings planned in frames of the project.

Training Format

The training will be interactive and mostly oriented on working in groups to gain practical skills. In addition, participants will be given a chance to make new contacts and share their experience in the group. After the training additional consultations will be provided for the participants.

The training will be led in English. Translation will be provided.

The training will take place on the 25-26th of October 2018 from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm Tbilisi, Georgia.

The above mentioned trainings will be also delivered by international trainers.

The trainings are organized as part of the project „Social Enterprise Academy” which is funded by the Visegrad Fund. The project is implemented by CSRDG and leading international organizations in the field of Social Entrepreneurship -  NESsT and Valores Foundation.
