The Social Investment Bank (Banca de Inversión Social)
The Social Investment Bank is a non-profit organization based in Colombia that acts as a bridge between donors, impact investors, traditional sources of social funding and social enterprises and projects.
We believe there is a significant opportunity to reduce poverty and improve the environment though the promotion of inclusive businesses. However, complex problems require complex and scalable solutions – and that is where we step in:
• We help traditional donors who are venturing into impact investing for the first time.
• We support impact investors in identifying and scaling up opportunities.
• We collaborate with companies that would like to grow their inclusive businesses and implement triple bottom line strategies.
• We help social enterprises get to scale.
• We work with social entrepreneurs and their companies to ready them to receive impact investing resources.
We use a host of financial solutions, capital market concepts and investment banking techniques to work with all of the above, increasing the flow of resources, scaling up successful social initiatives and optimizing social impact
