Jonathon joined Actis (CDC) in 2001 as Managing Director of fundraising and investor development activities (pre-demerger from CDC). He worked extensively on the formation of Actis in 2004 and is a member of the firm’s executive management and investment committees.

Jonathon leads all aspects of fundraising and investor relations at Actis. The firm currently has over US$4.7bn of funds under management and 100+ LPs. He also has overall responsibility and oversight of the ESG function and activities and is a member of the Supervisory Board.

Notable recent funds raised for Actis include:
2008: US$2.9 billion for the Actis Emerging Markets 3 fund.
2009: US$750million for the Actis Infrastructure 2 fund.

Jonathon previously worked as a founding Director of HSBC Private Equity in India (1994-2001), Electra Private Equity Partners in London and Paris (1988-1993) and Bain & Co in London (1985-1986).

He has an MA in Law from Oxford University
