Clare is director of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commercial Education Trust, a grant-making foundation which supports young people and their pathways into the world of work and enterprise. Clare has worked in the field of philanthropy and with community foundations for 25 years, most recently in the UK and Australia. Her connections to Central and Eastern Europe go back to the early 1990s when she lived in Prague for eight years. During this time she worked with one of the first Czechoslovak foundations to be established after the Velvet Revolution, the Civic Forum Foundation, and subsequently for a U.S. grant-maker, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
Clare has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees both nationally and internationally. Clare is chair of NESsT-UK board.
