About the Organization
NESsT provides dignified employment that lifts people out of poverty in emerging market countries. By raising philanthropic capital to invest in and develop social enterprises, NESsT creates employment opportunities for the poorest communities. To date, we have helped to create more than 49,500 dignified employment and sustainable income opportunities.
NESsT has developed a suite of free tools for social entrepreneurs worldwide to use to develop and grow their businesses.
I2E has been validated internally and with a smaller group of external users (250 total). NESsT is seeking a contracted Product Manager to devise and execute a program to help entrepreneurs understand how to prioritize their skills development and activities based on the stage of their business. The Product Manager will oversee the activities of the program including the design, marketing, dashboard development, and sustainability model of I2E. We don’t anticipate modifications to the content of the survey, only modifications to the presentation and dissemination of the tool.
The primary goals are as follows. See Scope of Work for more details.
Improve the UI/UX of I2E Suite of Tools by revamping all of its landing pages (e.g. addition of testimonials, referrals, incentives, etc.). Website platform is Squarespace. The Talent Tool and Inventing Green tools are hosted on Formstack and integrate with Salesforce.
Develop user acquisition and retention strategy and a marketing plan to implement with NESsT’s communications team to improve tool’s reach and convert 500 new users.
Develop two dashboards using data visualization software that demonstrate learnings based on the results of all submissions. This is to be hosted on our website (Squarespace). Data is stored in Salesforce.
Create an annual budget that details the costs of running the tool after the project is over and identify potential revenue streams (fundraising).
Engage existing mentoring networks to disseminate our tools. Current partnerships are led by the Communications Manager and will be transferred to the Product Manager.
We believe this project could be completed in 50-60 days over the course of the next eight months, however it is up to you to propose a work plan that corresponds to the budget (as described below). The project must be completed by December 31, 2019 with brief reports due by the end of each quarter, the last one to be submitted on January 10, 2020.
$30,000 USD, in addition to $10,000 USD for costs of developing the dashboards and other relevant elements.
To apply, please submit via email to Nathalie Figueroa. The proposal should include the following (maximum three pages):
Statement of work (What activities would you need to implement to deliver on the stated objectives? What activities do you need to outsource?)
Timeline for activities
Track record (What is your experience with carrying out an initiative such as I2E?)
Resume in English
Submit your proposal and questions
Only short-listed applicants will be contacted.
