Program Overview

The aim of the Springboard program is to identify and develop social enterprises that improve the employment chances and livelihood of people in deep poverty.  After the assessment of applications received, up to 5 teams and/or non-profit organizations will be selected, who will benefit from both business capacity building support and financial support in order to start a new business venture or to scale up an already existing social enterprise. After the final pitch, Badur Foundation will award up to two organisations with financial support to start or strengthen their venture. The available funding is 10,000,000 HUF. Additionally, the selected organisations may receive further capacity building tailored to their needs.

Supported Social Enterprises

Social Enterprises supported in the Springboard progam 2015/2016

The Badur Foundation aims at improving the lives of disadvantaged communities, that live in poverty or deep poverty, through supporting and in some cases initiating programs and development projects. The London-based foundation is present in the United Kingdom, Laos and Hungary and works there together with local and regional civil organisations. The support of the Badur foundation aims at strengthening its partners' infrastructural and professional basis.

In Hungary, the focus of the Badur Foundations is on job creation, increasing equal opportunities within education, and fighting against energy poverty through incubating sustainable social enterprises.
