In cooperation with the Czech Fundraising Center, NESsT designed a one-week “Creative Resourcing Strategies Training” for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) in Tbilisi, Georgia in September (2003). NESsT offered an intensive, introductory training on social enterprise development to 16 Abkhaz and Georgian participants from Youth Houses in Tbilisi, Zugdidi, Sukhumi and Ochamchira. Supported by nonprofit humanitarian agency UMCOR, the Youth Houses provide a safe haven, supplemental education and social programs for youth, many from families displaced by civil war.
