Stuart Baxter

Stuart
Baxter is a Managing Partner in the San Francisco office of The
Riverside Company, a leading private equity firm investing in premier
companies at the smaller end of the middle market.
Stuart joined Riverside in 1997 and began running Riverside's California
office in 2000. From 1997 to 2000, he was directly responsible for managing
the investment activities of Riverside Central Europe Fund L.L.C. in the
Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, supervising all negotiations, legal
due diligence and post-acquisition advisory and restructuring work. From
1995 to 1997, he was Director of Crimson Capital's Czech Restructuring
and Privatization Group. Prior to that, Stuart was President of AI International
Corporation, the U.S.-based holding company for a high-net-worth Kuwaiti
family. He spent 12 years at AI, managing various operating businesses,
venture capital and real estate portfolios and executing over 30 acquisitions.
Stuart began
his career in investment banking in 1980, as an analyst at Credit Suisse
First Boston. He holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University. He
currently serves on the following Riverside portfolio boards of directors:
APC, Clayton, Entrix, Olympic Boat Centers, and PCS.
