Carola Delgado is the Development and Communications Associate based in NESsT´s Santiago office. She is a journalist with a degree in communications from the University of Playa Ancha (Chile) and a master´s degree in business and institutional communication from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she lived from 2004 to 2007.
Carola has more than nine years of work experience, including four years with the communications office of the University of Valparaiso in Valparaiso, Chile. Carola´s responsibilities included working with an interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement a communications plan for a pilot project to strengthen civil society through volunteerism. The project was supported by the Chilean government´s Division of Social Organizations and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Together with a team of professionals, in 2000 Carola implemented a project for Chile´s National Fund for the Disabled, the objective of which was to create a community radio in station with the participation of low-income, disabled people in the city of San Antonio. In addition, Carola has worked in print media, radio and television.
