Matthew Cole is a partner with North Bay Equity Partners, a private equity and advisory firm that works with companies doing business in and with Latin America. Matt has 10 years of private equity, management, and investment banking experience in Latin America. He is the former CEO of OneScope, a developer of international business-to-business internet marketplaces. Cole has also served as a Principal at Newbridge Latin America, a $300 million private equity fund affiliated with Texas Pacific Group and Richard C. Blum & Associates, and as an Associate with J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York, Santiago, and São Paulo. During his career, he has worked on a wide range of private equity and capital markets transactions in the telecommunications, energy, and consumer products sectors throughout Latin America and the United States.
Matt graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude with Honors from Brown University in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in History. During his time at Brown, Cole spent one year studying at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the University de Los Andes in Merida, Venezuela. In 1998, Cole completed an executive business education program at the Wharton School. In addition to his native English, Cole speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
