| Michael Gallagher is the Founder and President of the International Business Awards (The "Stevies"), created to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments, and positive contributions of companies and business people worldwide. The Stevie Awards to celebrate how people use their talents, abilities, and imagination to create ideas, products and services. The name Stevie is derived from the Greek word for "crowned." Michael’s commitment to honoring excellence was sparked during his tenure as Vice President of The New York Festivals, organizer of the some of the world’s largest international awards competitions for film, television, advertising, and other media. Under his leadership from 1982 to 1988, The New York Festivals significantly expanded its global influence by adding new awards competitions in fields such as radio and print advertising. For the past 14 years, Michael has focused his energies on marketing, sales, and product development, including serving as Vice President of Sales & Marketing with the Hoover’s Media Technologies division of Hoover’s Inc., the leading provider of information on public and private companies worldwide. Most recently, he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing with Amazing Media, an online advertising company. Michael holds a bachelor of arts from Fordham University in New York City and a master of business administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. |
