Luis Pereiro Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Luis worked during 5 years in different managerial positions, from staff analyst to general manager, in the metalworks, industrial services, nuclear, and electronics industries. He spent the following 12 years as a professional full-time consultant, conducting more than 100 strategic change projects in strategy analysis, reengineering and restructuring, and M&As and new venture developments. He advised the board of directors and first line managers of several local and multinational companies. In 1996, after a 15-year career as a manager and management consultant, Luis took the post of full professor and researcher on entrepreneurship and international strategy at UTDT. In 1998 he launched the MBA Program, the first fully bilingual executive experience in the region. Lately, he has advised local tech-ventures, like ITS, an IT services provider until its sale to the British SEMA Group in 1999; Supergol.com, a digital advertising company; and Bumeran.com, a regional job-seeking Internet start-up, which was bought by Terra/Telefónica in 2000. He regularly advises the board of directors and managers of Ledesma SAAI, a large industrial group in Argentina, on strategy issues. Luis works at the convergence of entrepreneurship, corporate finance, and international business. He is an expert in international business ventures, valuation of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital transactions. He is also an outstanding instructor in both MBA and executive education programs.
