Frank
van Beuningen is managing partner of GreenPartners B.V., a
holding company of private equity funds headquartered in Holland.
Frank began his investment career in one of the oldest family firms on
Wall Street, then combined his skills in finance and love of sailing to buy
and build GAASTRA SAILS into the international brand it is today.
After
selling GAASTRA, Frank founded the original PYMWYMIC –‘Put Your
Money Where Your Mouth Is Company’ and with it, opened the field of
socially-responsible and triple-bottom-line private equity investment in the
Netherlands. From introducing Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream in Benelux to
pioneering technology in solar panels and lithium batteries, PYMWYMIC’s
15-year fund successfully brought several groundbreaking companies to
the Markets, and created a close community of like-minded investors who
now lead the fields in clean technologies, bio-organic plant management,
carbon credits, ethical waste management, and more. A new offering,
PYMWYMIC 2.0, will be operational in October, 2008.
Frank is a founding member of SVN-Europe, a long-term member of
Investor’s Circle, is on the board of OIKO Credit, NESsT, several
international companies and family foundations, and is advisor to many
socially responsible start-up firms. He lives in Amsterdam.
