Basil Demeroutis is a Partner at Capricorn Investment Group, an independent investment management firm with over $6 billion in total assets under management.
Basil oversees the firm's European business as well as the Real Assets, Energy & Commodities and Renewable Resources strategies globally. In addition, Basil serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Before joining Capricorn, Basil was a managing partner at Jargonnant Partners, a European real estate private equity firm. Prior to Jargonnant, he spent 13 years in investment banking working for ING Barings, Bear Stearns and Bankers Trust (Deutsche Bank) in a variety of corporate finance roles in both New York and London, covering a diverse range of industries.
Basil received a BSc in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University. Basil is based in Capricorn’s London office.
