Tony leads on developing external partnerships within the ventures team at the Young Foundation, a world leading centre for social innovation, developing large partnerships that enable the organisation to develop and support a wide range of social ventures and innovation relationships. Tony is also currently working ‘in residence’ as the social innovation catalyst in a ‘Young Foundation in Residence’ partnership with Bromford Group, one of the UK’s largest and most innovative housing associations. Tony has worked in a wide range of non-profit and statutory organisations throughout his career and is passionate about resourcing and empowering individuals and communities to develop social action and innovation projects. Tony has been involved in the creation of many community led social enterprises and continues to be a non-exec Director of 12 social enterprises and a trustee for Otesha UK.

Tony’s skills are best applied in partnership development, developing social impact strategies, business modeling, idea development and engaging entrepreneurs and policy makers in community led policy development. In particular he is keen to work alongside entrepreneurs and start-up organisations to help them develop their vision and growth within the wide field of social innovation; especially those ready to scale and make use of the opportunities provided by the new Young Foundation Accelerator programme.

Over the last ten years, Tony has worked in partnership with and for many organisations including UnLtd, Changemakers, South West Birmingham Community Association, Birmingham City Council, Bromford Group, Newman University College, Columbia University (Manhattan) and many government departments and has experience of working directly with social enterprises and entrepreneurs across the West Midlands and the odd one or two in New York.

Tony has a keen interest in sports and social enterprise and is a serial social entrepreneur outside of his Young Foundation role and has a great love for Rio itself having spent several holidays working on social projects in the city over the last 6 years.
