Juliana Estrella founded WORKS on July 2011. WORKS is a platform of management
solutions for micro and small entrepreneurs of low income classes. WORKS offers
training and management tools (accounting, taxes, legal solutions and market
research) for micro and small enterprises at low price and in easy way to understand language. Nowadays, she is consultant and CEO of WORKS.

Last years Juliana Estrella has been working as a consultant for various institutions
and research institutes as Institute for Studies of Work and Society (IETS), Institute
for Applied Economic Research (IPEA), Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-Rio), Catholic
University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), PNUD, Social Development Ministry (MDS) in a
variety of themes in public policy evaluation: financial inclusion, financial education,
cardless payments sector, mobile payments, micro and small entrepreneurs,
microfinance, low income markets, local development, education, affirmative action
and youth.

Juliana Estrella has doctoral degree in Political Science at the Rio de Janeiro
University Research Institute (IUPERJ/UCAM), with major in Public Policy and
Doctoral dissertation in Microfinance. She was former fellow at Vilmar Faria
Fellowship Program in Quantitative Analysis & Public Policy (UT-Austin, USA). She
received her master’s degree in Political Science at the Federal University of Minas
Gerais state (UFMG), Brazil. She also received her bachelor’s degree at UFMG,
in Business Administration with summa cum laude – Prize of Regional Council of
Business – CRA/MG for academic performance.
